Shala Carlson

Shala Carlson is Habitat for Humanity International's senior director of storytelling, brand, and digital channels. Her work stewards and advances Habitat's highly respected and deeply loved brand, as the organization pursues its mission in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. She has more than 20 years of experience in content planning and strategy, creative direction, brand and messaging, fundraising and advocacy support, and special events. A Louisiana native, she is a graduate of Tulane University and a former managing editor of Gambit Weekly.
Scott Carroll
The CD Studio, New Orleans & Owner, Scott Carroll Designs
Scott has 30 years of experience developing brands and finding solutions for clients, including TABASCO® Pepper Sauce, The National WWII Museum, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and Tulane University. He has a passion for long-format publications and old-school printing techniques. Scott has designed several coffee table books, including three LEH Book of the Year award winners.
In addition to running a small design studio in New Orleans for 27 years, he has been the Creative Director for LAGNiAPPE Marketing & Strategic Design since its inception in 2009. He offers clients an alternative to the traditional agency model as specialized teams provide customized brand development and strategy through marketing collateral, websites, and social media. He is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans.
Michelle Delery

Michelle Johnson Delery is the director of customer, employee, and communications services at Entergy Corporation, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in New Orleans that powers life for 3 million customers across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
She advises senior leaders on customer and employee communications strategy, brand, reputation, crisis communications, and issue management. She has direct oversight of nearly 20 professionals who use creative storytelling, design, video and multimedia production, and special events to create goodwill, increase message penetration, and drive better business outcomes in the company’s efforts to create sustainable value for its customers, employees, communities, and owners.
She is the chairperson of Women United/United Way of Southeast Louisiana, a member of the Ragan Communications Leadership Council and sits on the boards of Dress for Success New Orleans, PR Daily Communications Week. In 2021, she was named to the Communications Hall of Fame by Ragan Communications and PR Daily. She has also received numerous awards during her career for PR excellence from the Public Relations Society of America, PR Week Magazine and MarComm.
She is a New Orleans native and holds an MBA from Tulane University, M.A. in Mass Communications from Loyola University, and a B.A. in Advertising/Journalism from Louisiana State University.
Tiffany Lewis
Development Director, Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center
Tiffany Lewis is the Development Director for the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center, the only full-service fair housing center in Louisiana. Tiffany’s mother told her that she always knew Tiffany would become a teacher. Tiffany would play “school” with my friends in the afternoon and make them do homework. Tiffany knew since age five that it is her calling to be involved in educating both the minds and hearts of students; fostering the development of empathy, perspective-taking, and a commitment to service above self.
Tiffany transitioned to development after 18 years of teaching in the Orleans Parish Public Schools. As a student-centered professional, it is her hope to amplify her impact on student achievement beyond the school setting. To advocate that everyone receives needed resources, development has become her priority.
A New Orleans native, she earned a BA in English (Writing) from Loyola University New Orleans and a M.Ed.+30 in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Language and Literacy from the University of New Orleans.
Natalie Cross Mesko
Sr. Dir., Leadership Giving, Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver
Natalie serves as the Senior Director, Leadership Giving, Habitat for Humanity - Metro Denver area. For 14 years, she was Vice President for CCS Fundraising, an international fundraising consulting and management firm. She also has served as the Director of Advancement for St. Mary's Academy in Denver, Colorado, and as Executive Director of Seeds of Hope & Catholic Foundation Alliance. After graduating from Loyola in the public relations sequence, she joined the Admissions Office for eight years and served as the Director of Admissions for two years. She also has a master’s degree from the University of New Orleans. Originally from Lafayette, La., she resides in Denver with her daughter Vivienne.
Olivia F. Scott

Olivia F. Scott, assistant professor of advertising at Loyola, also is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Omerge Alliances, an integrated marketing management consultancy. Delivering brand strategy, marketing planning, media buying & wellness experience brand solutions, Omerge's current and previous clients include ESSENCE Festival, ESSENCE, Media Storm, IMAN Cosmetics, Andre Walker Hair, BRWL Studios, Urban Skin Rx, among others.
Olivia's professional experiences include serving as Chief Marketing Officer, Carol's Daughter; Associate Publisher/Head of Marketing, VIBE Magazine; Vice President, Alliances, Live Nation; Director of Partnership Marketing, iN DEMAND TV, in addition to account management roles at DDB, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, Draft, and Frankel agencies.
Olivia has led strategy for wellness & entertainment experiences for ESSENCE Festival since 2014, and also creates community & workplace wellness experiences via her Freedom At The Mat platform. Olivia earned a Bachelor's of Journalism from University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master's of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.
